Born in Japan and raised in Australia, Kyoko graduated from the College of Fine Arts (Sydney) with Honours in 2002. Since then Kyoko went on to exhibit at Sydney’s most influential galleries including Object, Quadrivium and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. In 2005 she moved to Tokyo where the city’s vibrant underground fashion and music scene inspired her to create her first fashion jewellery collection. After several years of traveling and operating her studio from Eindhoven and Berlin, she is now back and living in Sydney, and returned to focus on experimental conceptual jewellery.
Drawing from early reference points in both eastern and western aesthetics, Kyoko creates unique pieces of jewellery that are bold and feminine. Using traditional and contemporary construction techniques, each piece of jewellery is carefully designed and finished by Kyoko and her team in her Sydney studio.
